 I remember when social networking started to get popular... People were signing on to various sites where they created profiles, befriended others, and left comments back and forth. At first, I thought that all these social networking sites were a waste of time. Why go through the hassle of making profiles and communicate with friends when you can e-mail and instant message in private?!
But then I started my own profile anyway, and that's when it began: my love affair with five different types of social networking sites at one time. And I'm sure that's how it began with millions of other people on social networking sites right now.
