Cabana Club
So I went to Cabana Club about two weeks ago and I've wanted to make sure I put a post up about this club because of the really bad service I noticed when I went.

The club itself is really nice so when my friends and I decided to pick out a club we thought Cabana would be perfect. It had a nice reputation for being fun and packed.

Tiny dance floor

I came at 9:30 because I hitched a ride with a promoter and it was a good thing I did because the line was already super long. I was on the guest list but it was only free before 10 30. I was worried about some friends I was meeting up because the line looked long and the guy handing out the tickets was POWER TRIPPING. I hate it when that happens!! GRR!

So I was in line with some friends and the guy comes over and told him we needed four tickets. He looks at us and says he only sees three and THROWS the tickets at us and left. ::shock::

That was basically the only glitch of the night along with one of the dancefloors being closed but it was fun nontheless. They had open bar for the first thirty minutes which was cool and the ambience was really pretty.

Basically, I hope that guy learns some manners because he is the only reason why I wouldn't go back!

*btw for those of you who are going to go, don't get your car valet for 20 bucks..just park in the structure across the club...unless of course you're ballin' =)

Girl's night out whoot whoot! =)

Party Bus
Hey guys! I recently went on a party bus for a friend's birthday and I have to say...it's pretty crazy. I got a little car sick drinking on a bus with less than perfect suspension that's going 70 miles per hour but I have to say..it was an experience. I'm not sure how much the whole bus was but for about 25-30 people each person paid 30$ and got to ride on the party bus, drink and get into v20 (club in long beach) for free.

It was fun and the bus driver had a great soundtrack for the ride.

*btw I know a promoter for v20 so if anyone is interested send me a message or leave me a comment*

Dave and Busters WHOOT!

Let me tell you guys something. Under the definition of happy hour, there should a picture of Dave and Busters because the one in Irvine Spectrum has got some sexy deals.

As a college student with not a whole lot to spend but a whole lot of desire to have fun, Dave and Busters has hooked it up! Drinks range from 3$ to about 6$ for mixed drinks and 4$ dollars for shots. (Get to know the bartenders and the prices will get even nicer!) Along with these great prices they've got games and practically half of orange county's college students to mingle with. The food is okay but a little overpriced and HH doesn't apply to food there. If you're really hungry I'd recommend the mini burgers and fries =)

Me and my friends usually go to the Irvine Spectrum's Dave and Busters on a Thursday night and have the best time.  (Come before 10 and get in for free but after there is a 3$ cover charge)

 Cactus Coolers!!

Drink recommendations (HH is M-F 4 - 7 p.m. and late night HH from 10-closing):
1.) Cactus coolers!! It's one of the best shooters and D&Bs makes it right and cheap. (Beware they put red bull in it)
2.) Ask the bartender to make a signature drink because they will hook it up with the prices (if they're nice) and they'll make it strong too =)
3.) Shots are a great deal too. About 4 to 6 dollars (compared to club prices that is a sick deal) and they are generous.
4.) For those of you who don't like to drink too much I recommend the grasshopper. It tastes like a mint pistachio smoothie with whip cream on top. YUM!

Sex on the Beach, Grass hopper, Adios and my crazy sister =)

Game Recommendation:
1.) Deal or No Deal (you can get a bunch of tickets!)
2.) Basketball game (competitive fun!)
3.) Initial D ( Also competitive)

Just on the warning note...kids can come in if they are with someone 25 or older which can make for an awkward night (I don't like drinking in front of little ones)...but this almost is never the case Thursday nights so come then and we can all hang out =)!

Not Your Everyday Opera

Okay, so I've never been to a real opera before.  But surely, it's nothing like this. Surrounded by other hotspots but slightly hidden in a small street on Schrader in Hollywood, I was surprised to find a daunting line at 9:45. I chatted excitedly amongst my friends and readied my camera for the doors to open. The girls were looking pretty and the boys were looking handsome and I was ready for a good time.

Two hours later..

I entered the club and hit a patio where dedicated smokers came to relax. I opted to explore further in to see what I would find. I got a red bull and vodka at the full bar not far from the entrance and grabbed my girls to hit the dance floor. Two go-go dancers on the far left and right were showing the patrons how to shake it. But it was way too crowded. I decided to go to the 2nd dance floor where it was less crowded but as some would say, it was less "crackin."

I danced and chatted with the many people there that night and had some fun.

All in all I ended the night with some ghetto dogs and some useful facts and set opinions about Opera.

-- There are so many random placed couches everywhere it makes it difficult to maneuver around. (Seems  like total capacity is 700 but there were about 900 people)
-- Friday nights are packed so get there super early (i.e. before 10)
-- Beware there are a lot of cigarette bummers
-- Music was mediocre (you know... where you're getting your groove on but then the song changes and you're just standing around trying to figure out why they are playing dumb songs...)
-- Apparently boys aren't allowed to dance on the go-go polls
-- There are one bathroom (three stalls) for girls and one bathroom for guys too (I think...if there's more let me know cause I couldn't find it =(

--Really dig the dim lights and chic atmosphere.

--Vegas type club that provides a fun and exclusive atmosphere

-- Average alcohol drinks are about 12 dollars (that's including shots)
-- Voss water drink 5$

--Cup of ice water is free

All in all on a fun scale of 1-10 I would give it a 6 or 7.
